Hi friends! Welcome back to Alina Craft Studio. Today I want to share how to fix an Epson EcoTank printer when it suddenly starts printing color images in only one color tone.

If your Epson EcoTank printer is printing the wrong colors, missing colors, or everything looks tinted blue, pink, green, yellow, or purple, this simple maintenance fix may help. I am using an Epson EcoTank ET-3760 in the video, but the same nozzle check and head cleaning process can help with color problems on EcoTank printers in general.

What Happened #
My Epson EcoTank had been working perfectly, and then suddenly all of my color prints started coming out wrong. Instead of normal colors, the entire image had a strong single-color tint.
Here you can see the difference between the bad print and the correct color print. The left page is the problem: the image printed mostly in one yellow tone. The right page is how the colors should look.

Usually, this kind of problem does not mean the printer is broken. It often means one or more print head nozzles are clogged, so the printer cannot put all of the ink colors on the page correctly.
Start With a Nozzle Check #
The first thing I did was run a nozzle check test print. This test helps you see if any ink colors are missing or if some nozzles are clogged.
On the printer screen, go to Maintenance, then choose Print Head Nozzle Check. The exact menu wording can vary a little by EcoTank model, but you are looking for the built-in nozzle check option.

The printer will ask you to load letter or A4 size paper and print the nozzle check pattern. Select Print to start the test.

Check the Test Page #
After the nozzle check printed, I could barely see anything on the test page. That was the sign that the print head nozzles were clogged and the printer needed cleaning.
On the printer display, I selected that the nozzle check pattern was printed with errors.

Here is how faint the first nozzle check page looked. The pattern was missing most of the color and was very hard to see.

Run a Head Cleaning Cycle #
After marking the nozzle check as printed with an error, the next step was to run a print head cleaning cycle. The cleaning took a couple of minutes.
When the cleaning finished, I printed another nozzle check page to compare the results. Sometimes you may need to repeat the cleaning one or two times if the colors are still missing.

In my case, after cleaning, the colors started coming back. I repeated the printer test three times, and then I could see the nozzle check pattern printing correctly.

After the test pattern looked correct, I confirmed it on the printer display and the cleaning process was complete.
Print a Test Image #
The final step was to print my image again and make sure the colors were back to normal. I was so happy to see that the printer printed everything correctly again.

Here is the before and after comparison. The left page shows the wrong one-color print, and the right page shows the restored color print after the nozzle check and head cleaning.

Quick Troubleshooting Tips #
If your Epson EcoTank is printing wrong colors, try a nozzle check first. It is the easiest way to see whether a color is missing before you try anything more complicated.
If the nozzle check pattern is faint, broken, or missing colors, run a head cleaning cycle and print another nozzle check afterward. If the colors are still missing, repeat the cleaning one or two more times.
Once the nozzle check pattern looks normal again, print your image one more time to confirm the fix.
Final Thoughts #
This simple maintenance process fixed my Epson EcoTank and brought the colors back. The whole fix took about 10 minutes, and now I can make my projects again.
I hope this tutorial helps you fix your printer too. Thank you for watching and happy crafting!
